Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR (Quick Response)

For quick oil and chemical surface spill treatment

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR is a consortium of over 140 billion hydrocarbon digesting microbes per ounce contained in a bentonite clay matrix. The bentonite absorbs the spill and the microbe’s bio-remediate the spill when water is added. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR may be used to attack any petroleum based liquids (i.e. gasoline, fuel oil, hydrocarbon solvents) and virtually any hydrocarbon or oxygenated hydrocarbon. As in all Louisiana Bio-Environmental® microbial products, water and oxygen must be present to allow the microbes to break down oils into carbon dioxide, water, and soluble fatty acids.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR is utilized to:

  1. Contain, absorb and treat sudden surface spills or low level historical releases (weeping) on natural surfaces (i.e. soil).
  2. Treat oily buildup or sudden spills on concrete or other man-made surfaces to eliminate oil and oil odors, reduce slippery conditions, or for prepping surfaces for repainting.
  3. Treat oily sheens on surface water. (i.e. fuel spills in marinas etc)
  4. Initially treat open contaminated trenches, pits, or excavations for “on the spot” cost effective remediation.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
For spills on soils, loosen the soils with a rake. Spread Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR on the contaminated soil. Use one to two pounds of Louisiana Bio-Environmental® ER per 100 square feet. Apply water and keep the soils moist. Should the soils become dry, the degradation will cease, however, the microbes will become active when more water is applied. If a spill has penetrated the ground more than 18 inches, there is not enough oxygen in the soils to support aerobic bioremediation. The soils must be cultivated to ensure bioremediation will be effective.

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF (Industrial Formula)

A powerful microbial consortium which reduces organic matter

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF is a consortium of over 560 billion hydrocarbon digesting microbes per ounce contained in a bentonite clay matrix. It may be used to attack any petroleum based liquids (i.e. gasoline, fuel oil, hydrocarbon solvents, organic wastes) and virtually any hydrocarbon or oxygenated hydrocarbon. As in all Louisiana Bio-Environmental microbial products, water and oxygen must be present to allow the microbes to break down oils into carbon dioxide, water, and soluble fatty acids. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF contains a greater number of microbes per volume than Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR and therefore has the capability to attack hydrocarbons, oils, and grease more quickly than Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF when clean-up time and organic waste reduction is a significant factor.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF is utilized:

  1. For the more rapid cleanup of surface releases when time is of the essence.
  2. In the treatment of septic tanks and leaching fields. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF helps reduce organic waste buildup in the tank and helps prevent grease and other fouling agents from entering the leaching field.
  3. In the treatment of surface water spills to contain and break down floating hydrocarbons.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF is a competitively priced, powerful blend of microbes at a concentration many times greater than any similarly priced microbial product. Typically 1/3 the amount of Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF is required to that of any competitive bioremediation product. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF is adapted to breaking down organic wastes and grease buildup in treatment works without transferring the problem “downstream.”

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® EX (Extra Concentrate)

An extra strength microbial consortium used in oxygen-limiting environments

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® EX is a consortium of over 21/2 trillion hydrocarbon digesting microbes per ounce contained in a bentonite clay matrix. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® EX may be used to attack any petroleum based liquids (i.e. gasoline, fuel oil, hydrocarbon solvents, organic wastes) and virtually any hydrocarbon or oxygenated hydrocarbon. As in all Louisiana Bio-Environmental microbial products, water and oxygen must be present to allow the microbes to break down oils into carbon dioxide, water, and soluble fatty acids. However, Louisiana Bio-Environmental® EX, because of its high microbe content and when used with Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat, has the ability to attack hydrocarbons in oxygen limited environments (e.g. below grade and in groundwater). As such, it augments natural biodegradation and significantly assists existing microbes in breaking down the contaminant.

APPLICATIONS

Partnered with Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat or Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW, nothing even gets close to the in-situ performance of this industry leader. This is the heavy lifter of Bio-remediation and excels in difficult and challenging situations. The O&G industries favorite for tank, sludge, soil and site cleaning.

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® DCM (De-Chlorinator Microbe)

Designed to break down chlorinated solvents

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® DCM is a consortium of over 21/2 trillion hydrocarbon digesting microbes per ounce contained in a bentonite clay matrix. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® DCM contains microbes specifically selected to breakdown chlorinated hydrocarbons. As in all Louisiana Bio-Environmental microbial products, water and oxygen must be present to allow the microbes to break down the chlorinated hydrocarbons to water, carbon dioxide, and free chlorine. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® DCM, because of its high microbe content and when used with Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat, has the ability to attack chlorinated hydrocarbons in oxygen limited environments. As such, it augments natural biodegradation and significantly assists the microbes in breaking down the contaminant.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® DCM is utilized for subsurface in-situ soil and/or groundwater contamination treatment through subsurface bio-injection well applications, through subsurface leaching galleries, or through injection and recovery trench applications – A superior specialty product from industry leader, Louisiana Bio-Environmental.

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat

An oxygen enriching water that is mixed with microbes and applied in oxygen limiting
environments to break down hydrocarbons

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat is processed from naturally occurring organic materials. It is oxygen enriched water with enzymes, which is mixed with microbes to attack hydrocarbon contamination in oxygen deficient conditions (i.e. subsurface soil and groundwater). Microbial activity is frequently limited by insufficient oxygen due to low rates of oxygen and carbon dioxide diffusion in subsurface soils. GBS® BioCat helps reduce this limiting factor. The greater the mass of oxygen available, the more rapid the clean-up.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat is used:

  1. For subsurface in-situ soil and/or groundwater contamination treatment through: subsurface bio-injection well applications, subsurface leaching galleries, or through injection and recovery trench applications.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat is processed from naturally occurring materials; it is nontoxic, nonpathogenic, and nonflammable. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® BioCat increases microbe performance dramatically in the absence of free oxygen and it also increases microbe tolerances in salt-damaged soils.

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW (Oxygenated Water)

A hydrated nitrogen liquid that destroys organic wastes and eliminates odors.

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW is a liquid chemical containing hydrated nitrogen and trace minerals. The hydrated nitrogen molecule provides an extremely high amount of oxygen. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW combined with selected Louisiana Bio-Environmental microbes will destroy organic wastes without the addition of air.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW is used to:

  1. Treat contaminated water and coated surfaces where the addition of air is not practical – such as catch basins, utility manholes, oil/water separators, waste collection systems and lagoons.
  2. Destroy organic wastes and reduce odors in wastewater collection systems, manholes, catch basins, lift stations, and bio- treatment works.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
Use Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW in concert with Louisiana Bio-Environmental microbes to treat contaminated water. One pound of Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR and one gallon of Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW will treat 1,000 gallons of water. Apply Louisiana Bio-Environmental® OW with Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR, Louisiana Bio-Environmental® IF, or Louisiana Bio-Environmental® EX to wastewater collection systems to reduce odors, and begin the destruction of organic waste. Odors will be eliminated in hours. Oils & grease will be eliminated within days.

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® N+ (Nutrients)

Formulated to dissolve and be used with GBS Microbes

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® N+ are a custom blend of water soluble, inorganic nutrients and trace elements formulated to dissolve in water and to be immediately available for use by microbes.

Most soil remediation projects require a 20% ratio of nutrients to a pound of microbes. The substitution of common fertilizers is not appropriate for bioremediation as some compounds often interfere with microbial degradation of contaminates

Louisiana Bio-Environmental® GE (Green Emulsifier)

An emulsifier used with microbes (on surfaces or soils) to break up the contaminant

HOW IT WORKS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® GE is a biodegradable liquid cleaner designed to work on its own or with Louisiana Bio-Environmental® QR. Louisiana Bio-Environmental® GE is a non-contact food grade surfactant that emulsifies the hydrocarbon contaminant thus increasing surface area for the microbes to attack. It is nonflammable and can be used to clean any hard surface or soil media.

APPLICATIONS
Louisiana Bio-Environmental® GE is used to:

  1. Clean oil or grease-laden parts and equipment.
  2. Clean sludge pits, tank bottoms, concrete surfaces, separators, other man-made surfaces, and grease traps.
  3. Emulsify heavy oils in soil and reduce the hydrocarbons to water, carbon dioxide, and fatty acid.
  4. Clean oil-soaked clothes and absorbents.
  5. Clean filters, floors and other surfaces in restaurants where fats, oils, and grease accumulate.
  6. Break down floating fats, oils, and greases in lift stations and sewage treatment plants.
