BioClean 1012
The Remedial cleaner for Hydrocarbon Contamination on hard surfaces.
What is BioClean?
BioClean is a new cleanser that incorporates a proven bioremediation method for the clean-up of oil stains on concrete. Bioremediation is the technology of using NATURALLY OCCURRING microorganisms to degrade oil and other hydrocarbons. This is the same technology that has been used to clean up large scale spills in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as throughout the world.
There are two parts to the BioClean Cleanser. The biodegradable liquid solution, and the microbial organisms (in powder-like form). These hydrocarbon degrading microorganisms are cultivated to eat hydrocarbons (oil). This is their sole purpose for living, and they are grown to ensure that they do just that – eat oil. The BioClean liquid was developed specifically for use in conjunction with the oil eating microbes. The BioClean solution will help lift the contaminant off of the concrete surface, while allowing the microorganisms to get into the pores of the concrete and degrade the oil.
HOW DOES BioClean WORK?
The microorganisms utilized in the cleanser are totally natural and non-hazardous. In the enclosed packet of powder, there are 1012 (1 trillion) organisms per gram. By taking these microorganisms and mixing them with the cleanser, they are able to eat the contaminant off of the surface of the concrete. BioClean will successfully remediate motor oil, diesel fuel, transmission fluid and many other hydrocarbons.
The cleanser will clean the surface of the concrete almost instantaneously. The microorganisms will attach themselves to the hydrocarbons, and degrade them wile the cleanser is working. The organisms will attach themselves to the hydrocarbon molecules imbedded in the concrete, and continue to degrade the contaminant as long as there is food (oil) available. The final by-products of degradation are totally safe and non-toxic. Because BioClean contains living micro-organisms, it cannot be used in conjunction with any cleaner that functions as a fungicide or bactericide (disinfectant). Neutralize any residues on the surface that may damage or kill the microbes.
